3M pa din!
For over 39
years, 3M Pizza Pie has made millions of
Filipino pizza lovers happy with its crispy thin crust;
unique, sweet, home-style sauce; and a distinct mix of toppings
that make up the original 3M Pizza Pie
taste.
The first commercialized
Filipino pizza that pioneered pizza kiosks in the country,
3M Pizza Pie is a well-loved tradition
and an unforgettable pizza brand for many as it was part
of their youth and family tradition. We all practically
grew up or grew old with it.
3M Pizza Pie
was founded by Merle B. Hemedes after coming back from the
U.S. in 1969. A regular pizza lover in New York, she thought
of reinventing her pizzas by making a unique sauce that
caters to the sweet, Filipino taste and using a thin crispy
crust topped by ham and cheddar cheese. This made the pizza
more affordable to the Filipino masses. To make her pizzas
more accessible, she put up a small kiosk outside their
toy shop business at Araneta Arcade in Quezon City. It became
an instant hit since it was the first time Filipinos tasted
pizza.

Soon after, her other sisters Minerva B. Miller, Milagros
B. Villar, and later Leandra P. Pascual joined the company.
In 1996, the company was reincorporated under the name Supremo's
Food Corporation in 2006. Thus, 37 years after
the four sisters established the business, the torch has
been passed on to four young and dynamic entrepreneurs last
September 17, 2006.
Under a new management,
3M Pizza Pie returns to the market in 2006
with aggressive plans to re-establish itself as the leading
quick-serve pizza, pasta and snacks in the country by reinventing
the brand and upgrading its image.
3M Pizza Pie
currently runs over 20 company outlets and dealerships nationwide
from Aparri, to as far as Cagayan, and Virac, Catanduanes.
The franchise was launched in the 2007 Philippine International
Franchise Expo, and since, then, we have opened franchised
outlets in 5 more outlets in Catanduanes. Star City. Pasig
City and Pioneer City including the conversion of our existing
dealers into franchisees.
To meet this eventual growth, we worked on optimizing and
restructuring the business systems particularly the commissary
to further improve our services to our partner - franchisees.
We have also successfully established an R&D team composed
of culinary chefs and market analysts who will help the
company develop new products and new unique pinoy pizza
line. We have also initiated delivery in our commissary
to establish fixed delivery and operations standards in
all 3M Pizza Pie outlets. New marketing
collaterals (including our new pizza box) is on the way
to complement our new line of pizza products. We are also
in the process of moving forward an aggressive marketing
campaign in support of our growth objectives.
With a name that is
strong as ever, a re-engineered brand logo and store look,
better and more exciting pizza and pasta offerings, and
more calculated marketing, 3M Pizza Pie reaches the pinnacle
of its great comeback by taking the business to the next
level - FRANCHISING.
